Description: The Les Schwab Amphitheater is an independent, outdoor riverfront Amphitheater built in the historic Old Mill District in 2001. Since our first season in 2002 we have hosted over one million guests at our venue for ticketed and free concerts, brewfests, and races. It is our honor and privilege to provide the best experience possible for our guests and visiting artists, and we look forward to making each year even better than the last. The Les Schwab Amphitheater is named in HONOR of Leslie Schwab. Les was a logging-camp-educated, ambitious natural leader. He created a successful tire company known for it’s service and integrity to both customers and employees alike, but this venue is not named for or sponsored by the company. We have named this venue in honor of the man. He was a dear friend and mentor; a competitive yet gentle man who loved to win and share the victory. The success of Central Oregon can be attributed in large part to Les’ vision and generosity. Our artist’s dressing rooms were once the schoolhouse where Les attended class, refurbished by Mtn. View High School shop students in conjunction with Keeton King Construction. The white house behind the stage was once a management office for the lumber mills that ignited this region to economic growth. Our venue accommodates 8,000 patrons for concerts and other events in a casual outdoor setting. All summer long the Amphitheater presents some of the biggest names in entertainment, and the second largest brewfest in the northwest every August. We are part of the Old Mill District, which incorporates shopping, dining, outdoor recreation, businesses and residences.
